The BEALE STREET JAZZ BAND is a group composed of six terrific talents from Tennessee and one from Massachusetts. This hot group sizzles through traditional jazz tunes with the lively tempo of the 1920's and cooks its way through swing and jazz tinged blues of the later eras. The year 2002 will find the band performing in Maine, Wyoming, Alabama, Missouri, and Mississippi. Individually, the members of the BSJB have performed with some of the greatest names in jazz, such as Bob Scobey, Clancy Hayes, Wilbur DeParis, Al Hirt, Vic Dickenson, Teddy Wilson, Tom Saunders, Wild Bill Davison, and Jon Erik-Kellso. Additionally, in the past several years, the BSJB has performed in Del Mar, CA; Mammoth Lakes, CA; Sun Valley, St. Louis, Little Rock, Monterey; Sea Side, Oregon; Davenport, Victoria, B.C.; and Juneau, Alaska.
